Terms of Service

By using AU PLAYS, you agree to these Terms. Please read them before using the service.
1. About AU PLAYS
AU PLAYS is a General-audience service. It contains no sexual or pornographic content. All characters are entirely original, fictional creations who are 19 or older — no real person, group, or company is depicted, referenced, or endorsed.
AU PLAYS is a web application offering one-on-one chat with original K-pop characters. Character replies are generated by artificial intelligence and do not reflect the views of any real person.
2. Eligibility and Your Account
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and purchase service credits. Use of the service by anyone under 13 is prohibited.
- You can try the service as a guest through an anonymous session. Creating an account (Google or email) lets you keep your conversations and credit balance across devices.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity on your account.
- You may not create more than one account to abuse free allowances or promotional credits.
3. Service Credits (“W”)
W is a service usage credit, not currency. W is applied to your account through a license key and webhook when a purchase completes. It has no cash value, does not earn interest, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred or gifted to another account.
- W is consumed inside your account when you use optional premium features, such as higher-quality AI responses.
- Basic chat is free, subject to a daily usage limit.
- Your purchase of W grants a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use W within AU PLAYS for personal entertainment only.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
- If your account is terminated for violating these Terms, any remaining W is forfeited.
- If W is credited in error, or obtained through manipulation of the service, we may correct or reverse the balance after notifying you.
4. Payments
- Purchases of W are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy handles your payment details and any applicable sales tax or VAT.
- We never see or store your card information.
- Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy’s own buyer terms and privacy policy.
- Prices are shown before you complete a purchase. We may change prices for future purchases at any time; a change never applies retroactively to a purchase you already completed.
- If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact support@auplays.com before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve it directly.
5. Acceptable Use
To keep AU PLAYS a General-audience service, the following are prohibited:
- Depicting, impersonating, or generating sexual content involving any real person.
- Requesting or generating sexual, exploitative, or suggestive content involving minors, or content that sexualises any character.
- Harassing other users, or using the service to threaten, defame, or harm anyone.
- Circumventing rate limits, free-usage limits, or payment systems.
- Scraping the service, reverse-engineering our software, or using automated means to access the service.
- Using the service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, at our discretion. Consumed W is not refunded in that case.
6. AI-Generated Content
- Character replies are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate, repetitive, or inconsistent with earlier messages.
- Other users may send similar messages and receive similar replies. Outputs are not unique to you.
- AU PLAYS is entertainment. It is not therapy, counselling, medical, legal, or financial advice, and character responses must not be relied on as such.
- If you are in crisis or need support, please contact a local emergency service or a mental health professional.
7. Intellectual Property
- AU PLAYS, its characters, artwork, and branding are our property. Your licence to use the service is personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable.
- You retain rights to the messages you write. By sending them, you grant us the right to process and store them in order to operate and improve the service.
8. Termination
- You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or if required by law.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Section 3 (Service Credits), Section 6 (AI-Generated Content), and Section 9 (Disclaimers) — continue to apply.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AU PLAYS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the service before they take effect. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
